Allenbaugh Cabin

Originally built cir. 1882/83, by John Allenbaugh in Carter County.

In 1983, through the combined efforts of many wonderful museum supporters, this fine cabin was dismantled at its original site and brought to the Museum grounds where it was reconstructed. In 1997 it was opened for viewing. For those wishing to experience life on the Montana prairie, as it was in the late 1800's, the Allenbaugh Cabin is a must.

The Allenbaugh Cabin is open from April 15 through Labor Day each year.
